It's been very quiet on the TBMB of late but, of course, most of you guys live in the northern hemisphere where life at this time of year is still cold and wet and dreary (I'm born and raised a London boy), so I thought I'd share a story regarding the problems we face down here in Australia.
Last Sunday morning, I wheeled my bike out from under the carport to give it a good clean and polish.
I was giving the exhaust downpipes a shine when the phone rang.... then after a long chat with a mate, I made myself some lunch, then another mate dropped by to say g'day and so I got us a couple of beers....
Long story short, it was several hours before I got back to the bike.
As I went back to polishing the exhaust I suddenly yelled in pain to discover I'd burned the inside of my wrist on the downpipe,
Looking at the red mark on my skin, my first crazy thought was that someone had secretly been running the engine, but then I realised...
it had just been sitting in the sun too long...
