Well I got it started but blimey it was hard work. Charged the battery.Removed the carbs and checked the floats which were ok. Tried kicking it and it was ages before i got it to fire. Backfired a few times and I nearly broke my foot! Got it started, warmed it up and set up the air screws. Stopped it and tried to restart - no joy. Out with the plugs, cleaned them - they were a bit sooty, back in, kicked it for ages, backfired a few times then started. took it for a run and got it thoroughly warmed up. Stopped it, wouldn't restart. gave up - knackered. There is a leakage of exhaust fumes coming from the outlet rocker cover, is this more than just a gasket? Methinks its going to be a long haul getting this T140 running right.
