That's good news Paul, sounds like all's well and as TER said, spring tightening should sort it.
A quick word of caution, if I may - in your enthusiasm to ensure that you don't get slippage, make sure that
a) you don't overtighten and end up with drag and
b) ensure that the outer cover lifts nice and level when you operate the clutch.
That last part's in the manual but it's often overlooked.
When you pull in the clutch and slowly kick the engine over, you should hopefully see the outer cover revolve 'parallel' to the clutch, level and not wobbling (sorry, but I'm struggling to put it into words)
You can do it by eye or make a marking jig, but it's basically all about adjusting the springs until you get the outer cover level.
You'll be surprised at how some will need to be adjusted much more than others to achieve that, but it's well worth the effort in order to get a smoooooth clutch.
