By all accounts, grey can be a normal colour with modern fuels. My Trophy 1200 always had grey plugs and ran just fine. After my carb rejetting exercise I now also have grey plugs with the T140ES but it's pinking so I have lifted the needles a notch. Will let you know if the colour changes once the pinking has gone (and I get a chance to go for ride in the dry).
