Hi guys, I had a similar experience once, turned out to be the main power lead to the ignition switch ( within the main wiring loom ) had fatigued and eventually broken around the steering head area due to the constant toing and froing. I wasnt too worried about apperance so just ran an extra wire outside to bypass the original. Cheers
