Hi Andrew, just drain some oil off via the sump plug, or use a syringe via the filler. I reckon you've been doing the logical thing which is to check the level and top up before going for a ride! Our Trumpies like to pass a bit of oil through the pump when left standing, anything up to 200 ccs overnight in bad cases. So always check the oil level after a ride and after letting the machine idle for a few minutes. The return side of the pump is larger than the feed so by letting it idle you clear any excess oil in the sump. Do make sure that the oil is returning though as Rudi says (open filler and you'll see oil spurting out of the return pipe) and if it passes excessive amounts overnight, it would be worth checking the pump and the pump non return valves out. As for the primary, just put 200 cc in and then forget it, if your holes into the crankcase are clear it's self-levelling, if not 200 cc is enough between oil changes. You say in an earlier post that you're still having to work up a sweat kickstarting it. With electronic ignition should be first or second kick. Reckon the carbs are still playing up?
