When I aquired my '78 T140 in 2000 I had reason to investigate the ignition system and found that 12v coils were fitted.these measured 3.8 ohms primary and 7.1K ohms secy,a turns ratio of 1868:1.
I fitted 6v coils as per the manual, these measured
1.9 ohms primary and 8.2K ohms secy, turns ratio of 4315:1.The 6v coils will deliver more energy during the time the plug fires collapsing the secondary field of the coil.I must say that having changed to the 6v coils I did not notice any difference in performance.
The info you gave did not say which coils are fitted.
