My bike is a 1980 Tiger750 (Export).... Can someone tell me if that front fork centre nut should be sticking up in the air or what ??..
Forks that I've worked on in the past have had that nut pressing down onto a washer and thus compressing the upper yoke and the lower yoke together on the OUTSIDE...From it's length it would appear to be pushing the centre race from within to get adjustment and then clamped for security ??
Similarly with the two Stanchions.....
Can I post a photo or two to show you ??
Where the original headstock bearings tapered rollers as standard and if so any idea what their No. is ??
Great fun all this, eh ??
