The pink coloring is normal and will come and go from time to time. As for the turtle not basking, ensure you have the proper water and basking temps setup. The turtle is probably just shy basking around people and may be basking when no one is around. A camcorder recording the tank when everyone is gone will help sove that mystery. ~,^^,o
