Another question: chosing a tortoise?

My son is 11 and he and I would like to get another tortoise. We had a Russian. I want something fairly small and am interested in possibly getting a pair to experience the responsibility and wonder of eggs and babies. Can anyone give advice or make suggestions? Thanks, Jen
