Thanks for writing back to me 
I've been trying to get this message out to as many people as I can. I've had to defend myself a few times because people think I'm attacking the Asian people and that's not it at all. I respect everyone's culture and heritage My goal is to try and educate those that still practice this method of slaughter and tell them there is a better way. My turtles are SO special to me... I suffer from a chronic pain condition and my turtles give me something to wake up for every day. I just want to return the favor. If I can help save the life of just one turtle then it's all worth it! My boyfriend and I are planning to go to NY in a few months... hopefully things work out with jobs and all so we can definitely go. I plan to visit the Asian markets there in Manhattan and rescue as many turtles as I can. If I could find a way to make this a group effort thing that would be awesome. I'm pretty tiny, so lugging aound giant Malaysian turtles around NYC by myself could prove to be very difficult! If there is anyone that might be interested let me know, and I'll do what I can to try and coordinate things, or if someone wants a turtle I could probably to that... but for now I'm looking for people to come with me
