I an trying to trace my US father. My mother is tight lip with any useful info. al I know is that he was stationed at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury England during the period JUne 44 thro to Oct/Nov 44 when he was moved out.
all the info I have is that he was stationed at Ashchurch, first name John, came originally from Illinois, was between the age of 32 - 38 and had something to do with 'tanks'. My mother was told that he was killed in action 'at the front' not sure of the period, sssuming late Dec '44, early Jan'45, as she receiveda letter from his parents in FEb '45 to tell her he was killed.
any information, however small or insignificant about my father, John from Illinois' would be appreciated
