My dad was Robert L. Butsch. He enlisted in Feb of 1943 and went to basic training in Ft. Lewis Washington. He served in the 44th but I am not sure of anything else.I think he may have been in the 114th division. He was a machine gunner. He went to France in 1944 and was wounded on Dec 2, 1944. I would love to hear from anyone who knew him and could tell me any more information. He died in 1971. Thank you.
