I am looking for any information about my uncle, who was killed in France or Germany. We don't really know where he was killed. All we know is that he was stationed in Washington state on the Western Coastal Defense as a cook. Then Transfered to the 44th. Moved to Europe in August of 1944 and then killed on September 14 1944. Preston, as people around Hamby Tx called him, was a sargent. He recieved a Purple Heart and a Bronze star. This is about all we know, if you have any info or know any other resources to search, please contact me. I am trying to get all this info for my mother and my aunt and uncles before they pass away.
