Dear Sirs,
I am a historian in Tyrol, Austria, and I studied a lot about the advance of the 44th Division and other US-troups in Tyrol in early may 1945. Now I am looking for informationes and photos which show US-Soldiers, German prisoners and other situationes in Tyrol at that time, particular in Imst, Landeck and Telfs and also in the smaler villages in this part of the country.
Especially I am interested in Informationes about the fight in the area of Imsterberg, Imsterau and Mils on may 5th, the last regular battle in Tyrol of World War 2. The battle was probably fought bei the 1st Bn of the 32th regiment. It would be very helpful for me to get informationes, documents and photos from this events!
