Posted by Sarah Jackson I believe US troops were stationed in this part of the Austrian Tyrol between 29th April and 15th July 1945. The liberation of the village of Bichlbach may have be achieved by E Company, operating with the 10th Armoured Column. Do any veterans remember a camp with "Czech" prisoners on the road from Bichlach to the village of Berwang ? Thank you Sarah Jackson

I am looking to make contact with any veterans who served with the 71st Infantry Regiment of the 44th Infantry Division of the VI US-Corps, 7th Army. In particular, I would like to speak to anybody who took part in the capture of the Tyrol village of Bichlbach on 30th April 1945. Possibly, the 103 and 114 Infantry Divisions were also involved.
