Hello to all my Army ancestors!
I am an active duty Captain in the Army. Need help. Trying to find ANY wartime picture of my cousin's husband HUMPHREY WATSON (I believe he was a PFC). He was a medic in the 44th IN DIV, not sure of which regiment. He was shot in the chest and head in or near Strausbourg France in DEC 44 by a machine gun while moving forward to render aid. He was believed dead by many of the regiment, until he returned near war's end and spent some time in occupation duty, partly as a mail handler. If anyone has any info/pictures, I would be deeply grateful.
