Posted by Glenn on 6/23/2004, 2:32 am, in reply to "Danish nobility" I have not a copy of the Danish nobility calender - but the present head of the family is Kammerherre, Hofjægermester Ove Sehestedt-Juul who owns Ravnholt and Lykkesholm - and I think he sold Hellerup Gods many years ago! One of the daughters (Sofie) is married to Count Christian Ahlefeldt-Laurvig to Tranekær! The Sehestedt-Juul family is not titled which shows they belong to the old nobility - before 1661? - during the danish "enevælde" the King granted titles - this form of nobility is called "brevadel"!

As for the head dress - I do not think so - I think those who had a tiara used that when appropriate!
