Hello travis
Listen, I came here. I can read the title of the board, and I've read the note there at the top of the page. I am very aware that most people who come here have a smoking fetish, usually skewed toward the damage I do to myself with my habit. I accept this for two main reasons.
First, I have no one I can talk to about my smoking; a major part of my life. Most of the time, away from here, if I broach the topic, it is changed quickly. I do not have a beau at present, and the few I've had in the past, the taboo of the topic very much restricts any sort of conversation. Here, at least, people accept me, they have at least a semi-common interest as I do; smoking heavily.
Second, I'm going through a bit of a rough time right now; because of my smoking, as well as other reasons. I need to get the smoking part out somewhere. I am not some sort of 'superwoman', able to bottle this all up inside and have it stay there. I don't like to admit these kind of things, but I cannot tell you how many times I've sat here, in tears, and at least being able to let it out, even a little has helped me immensely.
I am very aware that some of you boys are... ahem... 'doing what boys do' to my posts, I am not naive in such regards
. That's quite fine with me, we're separated by numerous routers, cables, switches, hubs, and varying levels of transport and control protocols. Your words come through, though, the person behind the keyboard as it were, and that's the part that matters to me.
I don't foresee myself leaving this board in the short term. So, please, take your time and actually talk with me. I'll be happy to answer what I can for you, and do welcome it to some degree. I only ask that it's a conversation, and not a grilling
To answer your question; I'm not exactly sure how to describe the 'how' of my smoking, but I will try.
First off, I notice many of my friends tend to 'let go' of the first puff from a newly-lit cigarette. In other words, they don't inhale it. I know I inhale every time. Also, I tend to dangle through entire cigarettes, only removing it from my mouth to ash it, or put it out (which, obviously, I follow immediately with another). Also, I've been told my inhale method is a bit 'odd'. I tend to take a puff, then begin inhaling directly into my lungs, till I feel the 'tingle' at the back of my throat. That's when I move my lips slightly, breathe in some, and, because of my time with the oxygen, finish inhaling through my nose. Also, every breath I take has fresh smoke in it, it is very rare that I take an actual 'breath' without putting a puff from my cigarette or cigarettes in front of it.
My exhales are usually 'messy' at the beginning; meaning I simply start exhaling through both my mouth and nose. I don't attempt to form a cone or anything. They usually end through my nose, as I'm busy using my mouth to take the next puff
I don't know if I smoke 'quickly' or not. A single of my beloved Newport 100s is gone in 3 to 4 minutes. Having doubles doesn't significantly extend the time it takes me to smoke, maybe 4 to 5 minutes? It's hard to actually 'measure' these things for me, as by watching it, I know I change my smoking style.
I smoke till the cigarette is gone, very little white paper left on any of them. Waste not, want not they say, and I very much want
Finally, because of the tone of your previous questions, I'm pretty sure you'd be interested in this. I ended up smoking 10 cigarettes to write this post. Yes, I actually counted them! I was attempting to figure out how long it took me to smoke singles and doubles and such.
So, travis, I can now officially blame you for needing to open another pack of cigarettes LOL
