To be hoenst, if you goal really is to increase, you can't let your lungs have a break. You have to condition them to having smoke all the time. You have to get your body used to constant nicotine. If you keep it up, it will become routine.
I think you should keep chaining for the rest of the day. As you finish one cigarette, light another. Perhaps smoking 1 light for ever 2 Reds.
