this is really a very emotional story and it shows that smoking can be really very risky. Due to the fact that this case is true - and I believe this really - I just have to say you are right - she is really a poor girl.
I think again that you did right. In her situation and because of the details you described I would also said to her that if she cannot quit smoking and that her life quality would even fall down by that - she should just smoke as much as she needs and wants to. At least it sounds to me that her smoking habit gives her the satisfaction that her body is used to get for so many years. So I can also really understand her that she does not want to quit even if she knows about her health problems. I think it is really important for her that she will date a guy who really loves her as she is. With all her chainsmoking, health issues and maybe the fact that she cannot get pregnant.
On the other hand I am sure, that even for her and her heavy addiction to cigarettes, everything can turn good, especially if she will meet a nice guy who supports her in everything she does and really adores and love her as she is.
I think Paul, it is very good for her that she knows you so good and can trust in you. It is really important that she knows that there are guys like you who can understand her and who do not blame on her and her heavy smoking but even understand and support that.
I really really hope for her that she will find the right guy (maybe you ???) and will also have the chance to get pregnant. I am convinced that she will be a very loving heavy smoking mother and many man would be very happy to start up a family with her.
If I would not be in a relationship as I currently am and would met a girl like her, for sure I would like to be with her !
