I was watching this movie from 1939 last night on TCM (Turner Classic Movie Channel)...it was "The Women"..if I'm not mistaken on the title. I didn't get to see all of it, missed the beginning to some degree, but I was watching as this one lady took out her paper and pouch and made her own...then she licked it and lit it up. I was so impressed at her finasse it doing it so well...I could definitely tell she had done it before. The other ladies in this movie looked to be smoking as well, and if I'm not mistaken they could have been all whites. Then every thing was black and white then in the movies. I just wanted to share that with you, if you've not seen this movie, I'm sure you might want to.
