In this connected world in business, many of you catch a lot of accents from around the country and even more. Here's the question. When you hear a woman on the phone with a Southern accent, do you:
A: Think of some sort of elegance and class.
B: Think of some under-educated woman who lives in a trailer and has eight kids.
C: Listen in to let them prove themselves.
In addition do you listen for a coarse voice, possibly smoker's cough or even the flick of the Bic.
