I have a 12" x 5" (approx. 6 lbs.) solid brass USN Submarine Service Insignia Plaque. The lady I got it from said she was given this 20 years ago by a man that salvaged from a Sub being scrapped. She was in Portland OR. at the time. I am trying to validate it came from a submarine "bulkhead" as she was told. And, besides Bremerton Wa, were there any subs scrapped in the Portland area in the 80's??
