so i dated this girl for 3 years. things were very rough and we fought mostly because of my jealousy. she did some things that would make anyone jealous and i had a very good reason to bring up issues, but i always overreacted and that broke her heart very slowly. it wasnt always bad, but for a good six months, i would bring up the same old shit, and then after that i would bring it up at least once a week on average. i desperately want her back. she was so great and still is. brilliant and attractive girl, motivated, and a pleasure to hang out with and talk to and the rest. i have since become a much better person and a success, but she cant see me any other way than dysfunctional. we broke up and she repeatedly says that it's over for good after a year of on and off crap, that was very painful. she is in law school now and has not hooked up with anyone since me, or she says that and i believe her. my question is: is it hopeless? and what can i do to help myself get over her when i dont want to at all? heart is broken and re-broken everyday.
