Posted by William on 1/25/2006, 1:08 am I guess my issue is: If my relationship is sick, and i'm not getting anything out of it, should I move on? If I can't patch it up and these's nothing I can do, Do i let time take care of it, or go find what i need elsewhere? PS: I know jack will tell me to move on. That seems to be his theme. does anyone else have an opinion in this group?
I've read most of the posts here and didn't seem to get a clear answer. So I started my own post. I've been with my girlfriend for four years, but lately she's not been interested doing anything. We don't go out, we're not having sex, and we're not talking unless were arguing over something petty, or anything like that. I think she's depressed, but she won't tell me what's wrong. I've been loyal and faithful for as long as we've been together, but there's a girl in my class who's interested in me and I'd like to date her, but feel like my girlfriend deserves more than that. I see JAck's point about not cheating, -by the way, is that a reference to FightCLub"Iam jack's colon...Iget cancer I kill jack?" but I don't feel like the relationship is healthy anymore. Do I break up with my girlfriend? I still love her and hope she snaps out of it. or do i stick it out and let my life pass me by waiting for her to get over her problems? -Iwas going to propose to her on valentine's day, but that was before x-mas when she was still talking to me. I don't think i did anything to upset her, she's stressed at work, and her parents just moved to virginia, leaving her 300 miles without any family but me. -we are roomates together while attending college.
Second, Do you think it is ok to leave my girlfrind when she's alone and possibly depressed/suicidal? is that my problem to worry about? I'd feel terrible if anything happened to her, but i don't know if i want to marry her anymore, and i don't want to be stuck taking care of her for the rest of my life. If she refuses to get mental help, what should I do?
