I take good care of her, am attentive to her needs, spoil her, and rock her world in bed (orally, usually) without asking for anything in return (not that I don't want anything in return). I even watch sappy romances with her. I think she doesn't want to give that up (social comparison? maybe). However, she has often said, that her two favorite people are her mother and myself, and she would go crazy if the lost either of us. That says she loves me. In conclusion, I think it is a combination of both fear of not being able to replace me and love; however, I don't think she loves me the same way I love her. She doesn't care if I'm happy, she just doesn't want me to leave. I'm like her fish. I get fed when she feels like it, and my water is dirty because its too much trouble to clean it, but she'll tap on the glass and delight when I do tricks for her. but things have been getting better lately.
She had three guys begging to spend time with her when I first asked her out, so she'd find someone easy enough. As for her condition, she still has guys hitting on her often, so I don't think that's a factor.
