Coming home end of month..

My ex who i have been talking about is suppose to be coming home end of this month. Do u think i should ask him if we could consider getting together when he is back? or dya reckon i should just leave that until he comes home? We haven't spoken properly since i last posted. He picks up his phone now though and he said he would speak to me online today but that was with my intuition...he hasn't stepped up and called me. He also does not sound like he can be bothered talking to me, sounds very serious etc. What do i do?
