Without knowing all the details, there isn't much more I can say. Perhaps the kind of activities and fun he has with his buddies takes his mind off his troubles. Maybe he feels extra nervous around you because he's afraid you won't wait for him if he goes to jail, or wouldn't want him if he has a criminal record. Maybe he's bored with you, but really likes you and wants to save you for when he wants you. Perhaps he's two-timing you with another woman and SAYS he's out with his friends. Maybe he resents you because you turned him into the police and handcuffed him to the bed with the murder weapon in his hand and a balloon of heroin up his @ss (that last option was mostly a joke-because of the lack of details). The possibilities are endless. I think you have to ask yourself, is it worth waiting? I have found that usually, it is not.
