I was in a similar situation in High school. My friend, as much as you liked that girl, its over. You will likely never get over her, or who you thought she used to be, as long as you're hang out with her all the time. She's going to continue to break your heart every time you talk with her. Its kinda selfish of her to want to stay friends, while she totally has no respect for how you feel. She should know better than to share details of hooking up with an ex-boyfriend turned friend who still has a crush on her. That is unkind. She could talk about a million things (though I'm sure you want to know the details) that wouldn't hurt you, but she has to talk about that stuff...no way, she's still using you. break it off and start hanging with some other people. If you want to, you can play the dumped-boyfriend/martyr-who-tried-to-save-the-friendship-before-the-heartless-b###h-who-you-used-to-love-cut-you-to-the-soul-card. Chicks dig it.
Seriously though, there's a song by Nazareth called "Hair of the Dog". I recommend you google it. The idea is that this guy met the most horrible girl in the world, thought she was sweet, then realizes she's a player, and plays her back. Its up there with Puddle of Mud's "She ####ing Hates Me" as an all-time I-got-duped-by-a-woman song.
Anyway, hair of the dog is a reference to the home remedy of using the cause of the sickness to treat the illness. You got bit by a dog: drink a tea with the dog's hair in it. You have a hangover: get drunk again. A girl broke your heart: get another girl. I don't know if its the most effective way of getting over heartache (personally, I never drink tea), but it does work.
