I spent six months in depression, before I started dating other girls, who I considered "safe" It was during that time that I learned some of my key rules: 1) It only takes about two good dates to be in love with someone if the chemisty is right 2) Never break up with someone over the phone, its a cop out and a cheap thing to do 3) It thouroughly sucks to have someone cheat on you, ever if you don't really care that much about them 4) If someone's cheated before, they're going to cheat again 5) The best way to get over a bad relationship is to get into a good relationship with someone who isn't going to hurt you 6) Be careful when ending those comfortable relationships that you don't hurt your partner's feelings, especially since the whole reason FOR the relationship was to build your confidence and not get hurt...breaking their heart is worse that killing a mocking bird 7)Time heals all wounds, but often times they still leave a scar.
During the time that I was friends with, and later dated my first love who I will call Jenny, I would ask her advice on relationship issues. Though she was a year younger, she started dating earlier, and had more serious relationships than I did. One time while we were dating, I stared dating another girl who was very cute, very sweet, and very interested in me. I started to have strong feelings for her, and told Jenny about it. She was angry at me and felt threatened. I told her she was dating other guys, so what was the big deal? She said That she didn't mind me dating other girls, but didn't want to hear about how much I liked them. A good point for future reference. I then did the stupidest thing I've ever done...I sabotaged my relationship with the second girl to pursue Jenny. I found out how much she liked me from one of her friends a few months later, but didn't care until three months after, when I got dumped completely be Jenny, who said she only wanted to be friends.
