You have some difficult experiences and it sounds like you made some poor choices while trying to cope. If Skye is a decent guy, then he would recognize that you aren't a bad person. If he thinks you are terrible because you never finished high school because you were depressed, then shame on him. I'd say go to college if that is what you want. If you see Skye, then talk to him (Whatever you talk about, don't tell him how great he is!). If he smiles while talking to you, then ask if he wants to catch up on old times. If he says yes, then exchange phone numbers (make sure you get his: otherwise you'd beat yourself up if he loses yours or forgets to call). If he is unsure, then tell him you aren't proposing that he marry you, but that you want to know how he has been and are dying to tell him all about how your life has been. If he is seeing someone else/engaged/married, then leave it be. Perhaps say something half joking like, "That b###h! She stole you away from me!" Then ask again if he's sure that he's not interested in hearing about your sister. If/when you get to hang out together, let him tell you all about what he's been doing, and if he asks, tell him that your grandmother died, and that you were so upset that you never finished high school. Tell him how upset and ashamed you are, and that you are trying to go to college and get back on track. Anyway, if this is helpful, then let me know.
