It can work out only if there is trust in your relationship I mean i have a girlfriend and she stays in jacksonville and i stay in st.petersburg and we been together for almost 7 months i guess we made it this far because we have a relationship based on trust we talk everyday on the phone and it helps so if you have trust in your relationship it should work out just fine try it out and see
