should i try once more?

hi all, in some kind of weird relationship crisis now. been going out with this gal friend of mine who i knew 6 months ago. We would go out at least 2-3 times a week and each time we would go out for meals, movies and to quiet places like the park or the beach to chill and talk. I also visited her at her house and her family members all know about me. we treated each other very nicely and she bought me stuff, cooked for me and we enjoyed each other's company very much. when i wanted her to be my gf, she said that even though we may be enjoying each other's company etc, we are only FRIENDS. what should i do? each time i try to bring this relationship further, she reinforces this point. where are we heading to? should i try harder to show her my sincerity? i really love her and without her, something important is missing in my life. please help me.. love sc
