Hi Zoe, First off, ask him why he thinks he must be single in order to have fun with his friends. Does he feel like you're controlling or that you limit him in some way? If so, talk about how you could work on that and make him feel more "free" while still remaining a couple. Maybe you could try a break (still remaining a couple) and just give him some space to think. My bf and I used to talk every day and it got to be a lot for us both, even for me and I was the one who loved the constant contact. Talk to him about what he wants, why he thinks he needs to split from you, see if you can't find a happy medium. Best of luck from someone in the same boat, Callie
