its a fear point Phill has made regarding wearing a PDF on the boat, but with regards to the rocks -personally I do carry a PDF with me but only wear it if the swell is over 1 meter also carry a throw rope,when you walk 1-2 hours to a spot you want to keep the weight down, I have fished beaches as we all have with some pretty strong under current and swell and we all still wade out- should we wear a pdf as well, I've been swept out off the beach as few others I know
