The main catch is Yellow eyed mullet. They are gold..........

I personally wouldn't use a spotty unless you couldn't catch anything else.

Places worth using a little burly andy and putty live baits out are Gissy port, anywhere with a river mouth like Maraenui. Just nice flatish water is best.
