Slide baiting is what I'll be attempting. Thanks for the recommended trace lengths too.
I figure I'll start practicing at North shore/ Esk mouth, Awatoto and possibly Aropaoanui if it's still accessible there.
Are circle hooks any good for sliding or should I be looking at other hook options?136
