Yup, we also use em up here... they catch almost every fish.You can freeze them a couple of times too.
Good thing about them... if you buy a kilo as bait, you can also eat them if you put them in boiling water and leave them to sit in the pot for a short while... Yummy! But just don't cook the twice frozen ones!
If you twist their heads off before you cook em, you can still use the front end as bait as the head and guts attracts bites pretty well too.
Cooked prawns stay on the hook better but don't seem to get as many bites from fish as the raw ones tho... which could work in the hungry angler's favour maybe...? Washed down with a little green ginger wine perhaps?Hmmm...
