I've done a bit of fishing in the Sydney area and also north Queensland. Mainly lure casting from the shore for barramundi, taylor, flatheads, bream, salmon (kahawai) and jew fish (mulloway). But it wouln't pay to be a bait fish as almost every other fish has a good set of dentures. When I was in north Queensland and I mean north!! Alittle place called Weipa I went fishing off this concrete jetty under a bridge in the large estuary system the have up there and managed to catch about 30-40 different species most of which were edible and had teeth!!!!! Casting large castnets to get bait aswell as a feed of prawns!! Just got to watch out for other things with teeth....I swear the mossies were the size of our sparrows and CROCS!!!! Only saw a couple and was over there for 2 weeks. Even some of the herrings and piper have teeth. Look up wolf herring and alligator gar. Truly scary!!
