Ocean Beach by Mark Bannister 5.180kg at the Carpark, i was fishing right next to him when he landed it. After he left that night i caught my 1st Pin Blue Moki there on Cray, 3.5kg, aswell as 10 big fat Carrots in November, about 5 years ago. There, and all the beaches south would be worthy of an Elephant hunt. Might venture out Sunday, but it may be a late morning start. Mahangas ficklein the winter on the rods, and there is a vast difference from casting baits 100mtrs out, and setting a longline 1.5kms out. Sure theres the odd stragler, but they tend to migrate closer to the shoreline, during September through December. Sorry Sue about spilling the beans, but we all no its a case of Johnny on the spot more often than not comes home with a healthy catch bag. Welldone, roll on September!!!
