Went to lake ferry on friday tried for lemons but the conditions were wrong.Fished by the mouth this morning for kaihiwai and managed to get one. Not long later i thought i was onto another kaihiwai when i pulled a 1.8kg salmon out of the surf my first one and there are not many around the wairarapa.
