    Ever the optimist I had a go down there this evening. Kairakau was awash with campers and dirty. Mangakuri was awash with weed.

    Fished both ends of the beach and gathered good piles of the finest manure from each end. Any fish wouldnt have got a look in unless it was wearing a head lamp and carrying a blow torch. If I was a fertiliser maker I'd be rich however..

    I may as well take up this new hobby as I'm sure as hell not catching any fish at the moment. . A trip North is on the cards I think. But I will have my day on a CHB beach. Not beaten yet.
