    This is how I found a hole in the stream that I was crossing at Hicks Bay.

    1. Ignore your mates warnings about walking across first.

    2. Pass the comment - she'll be right mate...

    3. When your mate says its getting deeper with a higher than normal pitch - ignore him and don't stop.

    4. Or stop... then you've found you hole

    5. Get out of your truck when water is comming in through the doors and find the closet Kamatuas' house.

    6. After buying fish & chips a box of beer for everyone you can then look for the next hole...

    I'm sure I'll get stuck again... but considering the stats... thats gonna be a long time away
