Have to differ with you there on that one Thomas.
Well at least on the beaches we fish down here on the coast. Me and my two mates hug the holes. Often they will only take six rods, sometimes less. We all use two rods each. When word gets out that we are catching fish, as it invariably does. Our followers turn up. I call them the Saturday Specials, but they will turn up any day of the week.

As we beat them to the hole we are catching in. They dot themselves around us, like mushrooms. On either side. As we are pulling fish in they look and keep rebaiting. But we score the fish, whilst they don't. Then when they get a bit bolder, they arrive earlier than us, and take the hole. So we just bugger of and find another one.

Its quite comical really. I call them our groupies. A couple of days later they arrive at our new hole and the same scenario plays out again.

Its all fun to me. Me and my two mates have an unwritten etiquite, if one of us finds a hole and it is catching. We share it. But the finder gets the prime possie right in the guts of the thing.

And as holes come and go, the pecking order is always changing. Oh well that is fishing.

The Saturday Specials have been hounding us for the last three weeks. They are like hominmg pigeons. Just ocaassionaly I lay a false trail to get them off our scent..

    Cheers Trev aka Hardy
