As a singular occurance of exageration of the the truth on the the part of the gospel writers, no. it would not effect my faith. If exageration of the facts and the truth were found to be a trend and tool of the gospel writers, then my faith could definitely be effected. one could ask, "what else has been exagerated?" there are many stories about Jesus in the ospel that are hard to believe without faith, and that faith is partly founded in the truth and accuracy of the gospels. Without "faith" in the accuracy of the gospels, how can one have have faith in Jesus' words and actions if it is proven that those same words and acts may not be accurately represented?
