I was glad to hear from you. Dave Cupples has been Emailing me about you. I have been adding the emails to the message board in an effort of creating more conversations from other shipmates.
I have been seeing Bob Bence at the reunions along with other shipmates. I was on the Norris from June of 65 till January '66. Somehow I was switched from R div. And moved to the Dash group to work on the drone Helicopters. I was sent to Damneck, Va in Jan. '66 to Dash school. While in school I guess the Dash program was discontinued due to many problems with the guidance system. I was sent to the USS Claud Jones DE1033 out of Key West. We then left key West
To be homeported out of Pearl Harbor. The Norris stopped inPearl Harbor on their way to Viet Nam and some of the Crew met Me and we drank a few cold ones.
I made Second Class Engineman on board & almost shipped over, but cancelled out due to an argument with the engineering officer.
