you cannot sue for discrimination about equal pay...the company sets the pay rate and they can set any rate they want ...the union can only try to negotiate pay increases...when you are hired the company tells you its part time and that this is the amount you will be making and if you are lucky ,you may move to a ppt`s status or full time if the union can prove that there are vacancies ...unfortunately trying to prove hours available for full time work is damn near impossible...why ?...because the company ,not the union makes the rules up, and everytime the union shows that there are hours for full time work the company changes the parameters..even though you as a temp may be working 40 hrs the company weasles its way out of hiring you...I know ...thats why I am forever part time!!!!!!!!!!!
