There are many more doing this now that we have MLMs and traditionally this has been the path to management. Look at it this way. There are quite a few managers that have worked these kind of hours as PPTs or full timers just to become management which is dumb. Now that they are now managers or District Manager, they believe this is the way to get ahead...dumb again. So the next time you ask yourself why we have dumbed down management, think of this theory.
