Posted by The BS Whenever you do this you convince management that they can cut more hours. Do you ever wonder why they keep cutting? Because we keep making it work. Try this instead. 1) Do what you can with the hours you're given, nothing more, nothing less. 2) When customers complain, and they will, hand them the customer service number (1-800-387-1314) and smile and say "have a nice day". Your sanity will thank you.

That's really sad. I see people do it all the time though. It's such BS. Work the hours you're assigned and paid. End of story. If you wanna give your life to a company, try pushing back when a pallet of beer is tipping over. Just don't take other people's hours by working off the clock. You're a slave if you do and you're taking money out of the already near empty pockets of temps. Shame on anyone who does this. I know you're out there.
